Operator is a personal finance platform that brings financial education, wealth management, and goal tracking into one clear experience — helping people move from financial confusion to confident action.
About The Project
Operator started with a simple question: why is understanding your own financial life so complicated?
Bank accounts live in one place, investments in another, loans somewhere else, while financial knowledge is scattered across the internet.
We set out to explore what a financial product could look like if everything started from one place.

Financial information is scattered across bank accounts, investments, savings, loans, and different platforms. This fragmentation makes it difficult to see the full picture, understand what the numbers actually mean, and make confident financial decisions.

Operator brings financial management, education, and wealth tracking into one connected experience. Instead of simply showing users their numbers, it helps them understand their financial position, track progress toward their goals, and make more informed decisions about what comes next.

I surveyed 500 users to understand how they manage their financial lives — from everyday banking and savings to investments, assets, and long-term goals. The research revealed a consistent pattern: financial information was scattered across multiple platforms, making it difficult to see the full picture, understand where they stand, and make confident financial decisions. One financial life. Too many places to manage it.

We mapped leading banking, investment, budgeting, and financial education products to understand where each one creates value.
Most platforms were strong in one specific area — tracking, investing, budgeting, or learning.
But few connected all of them into one continuous experience.

We translated our research into ideas, exploring how Operator could turn financial complexity into a simple, useful experience. By mapping challenges to potential solutions, we shaped the product around three core needs:

The goal was simple: turn what we learned about users into features that help them understand where they stand and what to do next.
Feature Prioritization
From Ideas to Essentials (through MoSCoW)
To keep Operator focused and easy to use, we used the MoSCoW method to prioritize features based on user needs and product value. This helped us define the core experience while leaving more advanced capabilities for future growth.

To understand how users would navigate Operator, I translated the research into a core persona and mapped the journey around his financial needs. The flow connects managing assets, savings, financial education, and long-term progress into one clear experience. From understanding the user to defining how the product should work.

the system naturally and makes navigation feel intuitive.
Building a Savings Plan
The flow guides users from defining a goal to choosing
the right savings path. Plan comparison components make each
option easy to understand and compare..
Details Without the Clutter
Expandable components keep the main experience
clean while making deeper financial information
available on demand. Users can move from a quick
overview to account-level details without losing context.
Operator was one of the projects that shaped my foundation as a product designer. It taught me how to approach a product from research to final design, collaborate closely with a team, and make decisions together throughout the process.
More than the final product, I took these foundations with me throughout my studies — ultimately helping me graduate with honors.
